Moving to Grand Rapids in 1982, Charlotte has provided leadership to various organizations in the Greater Grand Rapids area. Her numerous board of directorships include: Itasca County Family YMCA, United Way of 10,000 Lakes, Itasca Community Television, Northern MN Citizen’s League, Itasca County Medical Foundation and Grand Rapids Area Library Foundation. As a two-time graduate of the Blandin Foundation Leadership program, she strives to give back to the community.
Charlotte is currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors to the Itasca County Board of Realtors.
Born and raised in St. Paul, MN. , Charlotte graduated from the St. Paul Academy and Summit Schools. Her collegiate years were spent back East, receiving degrees from Pine Major and Boston Colleges, located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. For three + years, the McDermott’s experienced an expatriate lifestyle while establishing their home in Auckland, New Zealand.
In 1999 Charlotte became a licensed Realtor joining Prudential Lakes Realty. In ensuing years, she acquired the Graduate of Realtor Institute degree followed by accreditation as a Certified Residential Specialist. (The CRS designation is achieved by only 4% of realtors nationwide.) In 2006, she became a licensed real estate broker. While with Prudential, Charlotte earned national sales recognition in the President’s Circle and Leading Edge criteria.
Energized by the new affiliation with Coldwell Banker Northwood’s Realty, Charlotte holds fast to the most valued dimension to her business. She adamantly affirms, that the,
