Charlotte McDermott joined Coldwell Banker Northwoods Realty in 2008. Prior to her real estate career, she volunteered in numerous leadership positions in the Grand Rapids area. Assorted board of directorships included: The Itasca County Family YMCA, United Way of 10,000 Lakes, Itasca Community Television, Northern MN Citizen’s League, Itasca County Medical Foundation and the Grand Rapids Area Library Foundation. She was twice a graduate of the Blandin Foundation Leadership program.
In recent years Charlotte has been actively involved with the Itasca County Board of Realtors. Committees included: MLS, Program, Finance, By Laws, and Executive. For 3 years she was acting President followed by 2 years as Past President.
Born and raised in St. Paul, MN, Charlotte graduated from the St. Paul Academy and Summit Schools. Her collegiate years were spent back East, receiving degrees from Pine Manor and Boston Colleges, both located in Chestnut Hill, MA. For 3+ years, the McDermott family experienced an expatriate lifestyle while living in Auckland, New Zealand. During that time, she worked with the American Chamber of Commerce on Membership development.
Charlotte obtained her real estate license in 1999, followed by her Broker’s license in 2006. In the interim, Charlotte acquired the GRI, Graduate of Real Estate Institute accreditation followed by the CRS, Certified Residential Specialist designation achieved by only 4% of Realtors nationwide.
Charlotte continues to treasure the relationships that have developed throughout the process of buying and selling. She holds fast to the most valued dimension to her business.
